How do we help YouTube TV get sports fans to think of YouTube TV as synonymous with live sports?
Create the world’s first completely live sports-related awards show. Honoring the Greatest Of All Time (G.O.A.T.) fan posts on Twitter, as they happened during the 2018 World Series.
We scoured over 500,000 tweets during The World Series to find our 15 winners, made up award categories on the spot, and even 3D printed our trophies live. Then, some of baseball’s biggest names like David Ortiz, Jessica Mendoza, and Jose Ramirez helped us hand them out during the games. Each award even came with it’s own 15-second sports-style documentary.
This project was part of a campaign that helped garner YouTube TV 285,358,850 total media impressions; helping the brand go from #11 in 2017 to #1 in 2018 for total media impressions during The World Series.
